Biography

Dave Spitzer


Dave Spitzer, founder of the firm, was Vice President of Competition for the GRAND-AM sports car racing sanctioning body of NASCAR. Leading the technical and operational team at GRAND-AM, his work included strategic business development, technical and engineering research, and event operations. Prior to this role, he served as Product Manager for the Cadillac SRX in the Cadillac Marketing group of General Motors. With a focus on profitability, this placed him in the decision structure representing the voice of the customer and the dealer alongside engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and styling.


With 18 years in the Motorsports industry, key responsibilities included engine development for the Indy 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, aerodynamic and chassis system development, and team leadership with a record of numerous Championships and key race wins.


Outside of Motorsports, he has been integral in a number of startup and business consulting ventures. Versatility and fast learning are characteristic, with projects including a product to deter birds from cell phone towers, a service to remediate Chinese drywall for real estate owners and investors, and a manufacturer of specialty wood furniture.


He has served on the Industry Advisory Board at Embry-Riddle University, and was recognized with the Jim Cook Memorial Trophy for outstanding contribution to the World Challenge race series. Significant time spent either living or working in England, Germany, France, and Italy, has generated a keen understanding of Western European business culture and a strong professional and personal network in technology industries. He is fluent in French as well as English, and has strong conversational skills in Spanish as well.
